My cheap Tamiya Panzer 2
The old Tamiya Pzkw 2 which I had a lot of fun building apart from those rubber tracks which I again damaged by mentioning the word 'Heat' within 20m of them! Boy.....they really do not like anything above 30C. I remodelled the 37mm and MG, filled all the open spaces under the sponsons with plastic ...

Re: Tamiya T-62
Well I'm calling this a wrap! I have to repaint the loaders hatch after a mishap but besides that it's finished. what an experience it's been, the learning process alone was worth the effort and time, the next one is the Tamiya Pzkfw II (French campaign), a smaller, better model this time and a simp...

Re: Tamiya T-62
Well, almost there. a wee bit of minor fettling, rust, dust and streaks to add, graphite highlights and oil spots the one thing I'm reallt chuffed with is I may have nailed the bare metal chipping colour, I used W&N oils, lamp black mixed with Iridium white, then a touch of Prussian blue, it even lo...
Re: Medic
Love it!
The detail is superb, you have nailed the textures of the webbing and uniform to bring this to life.
Dammit, you've raised to bar for me to aim for!!

Lidl Oil Paints
Not sure about anywhere else but in Lidl GB I picked up a set of 24, 18ml oil paints for £4.99.
Smaller than Windsor & Newton but at the price for a single tube it must be worth a punt!
Hope this is useful to you guys.

Re: Tamiya T-62
Thanks Phillipp, that's that mystery cleared up! :D I had to make a new gunsight as I knocked the orginal off and fed the carpet monster. Almost done now, some painting, chipping weathering and I can finally put this one to rest. PXL_20221203_214827866.MP.jpg PXL_20221203_214016919.jpg PXL_20221203_...

Re: Tamiya T-62
A question to the collective knowledge on here:
What is the purpose of the small box mounted on the right of the DSHK mount that sits above the weapon?

Re: Tamiya T-62
Thank you Olivier, Bryan and Phillipp. I've made many mistakes on it that would be obvious to the more knowledgeable than me but it's been worthwhile and I'm relatively happy with the result. The research, the techniques and the stretching of my abilities is really what this is about. Ps- Olivier, i...
