The detail is superb, you have nailed the textures of the webbing and uniform to bring this to life.

I'm finally on the home straight, turrent almost finished apart from some adjustments to the (oil) chipping that I'm not convinced by, adding the dust, streaks, rust and polished graphite powder then it's onto the hull....oh and the mantlet cover: PXL_20221215_191402680.jpg PXL_2022121...

Not sure about anywhere else but in Lidl GB I picked up a set of 24, 18ml oil paints for £4.99.
Smaller than Windsor & Newton but at the price for a single tube it must be worth a punt!
