Taking PlasticArmour.com to tapatalk

I would like to suggest enabling PlasticArmour.com to be viewed on mobile devices through the tapatalk app. This would make the forum more accessible. I have also noticed that a lot of other model forums have not made the migration - PlasticArmour.com can be on the cutting edge! I have seen that mob...

Re: The 70's Retro Group Build!

Yes, growing up in Maryland sucked. :D I don't mean to change the subject from blowing stuff up, but I thought I would join the build. I found a Tamiya Type 97 in my stash. I am looking forward to participating. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/devin2711Devin/Type97_zpslytzfkhm.jpg Vintage h...

Re: Trumpeter KV-2

I finally applied the base coat with Vallejo 4B0 Primer. I thought I would try knocking out two birds with one stone. Although, the green seems a bit too dark. Any recommendations, perhaps adding white and doing another respray?

Re: Trumpeter KV-2

Finally getting around to finishing the build. I decided to drill out these cable ends since the pre-drilled cable ends did not have the cable wrapping around. Both were included in the kit. Should have a coat of primer on shortly!

Re: Trumpeter KV-2

I put 'P' on the kit since I had 'Partially Started' a while ago! I am trying to have several builds at one time, so when my Attention Disorder kicks in, I can switch.

Here is a quick picture for per-assembling the tracks ( I forgot to clean the inside track, time to go back)...

Re: Trumpeter KV-2

Thanks everyone for the help & directions! I was able to pull some plastic apart and add a spacer from the original plastic turret. The barrel looks a lot better, I kinda of wish I gave it a little more...

Re: Trumpeter KV-2

Thanks for the welcome and the KV2 Website, a lot of good data there! I used a metal barrel designed for this model. What is the best way to fill in the gap around the base of the barrel?
