In the past I've not bothered applying anti-slip because every method I'd seen all looked way over scale. Reserving judgement on this until I see what it looks like under paint but it certainly looks promising.

I've a Magach 7 lined up.
Thanks

Rob,
the Israeli antislip coating is made of "large" irregular shaped grains which can be up to 2 or 3 mm diameter. In 1/35 scale some sand do the trick. I recently bought a bottle of black sand (used for creating decorative frames) in a craft shop which could be a perfect solution.

Local Online shop has just listed this from AFV Club.

For €7.95 I might give it a try.

I checked out pet shop for the chinchilla dust that Gary suggested, only to find it comes in 3kg bags

With that much I could become an anti slip coating dealer :D

This also comes with their M109 kit. Comes out nicely under paint too. Trouble is that it's not really generic :|

Hi
I've used the Chinchilla dust as Sand & Dust on a diorama before works very well.
Holds well once painted. :D

I have used embossing powder with good results so far....I did not go to the extreme of masking anything off.

Hi Mark,

That embossing powder looks pretty good two. It looks really rough, but under paint it appears much better. Although i do believe the IDF anti-slip was very coarse?

Very nice build by the way! Is that a Gepard turret on a Merkava hull? It's a cool combination and a great modeling project!
